The Doodlewash May challenge prompt today is shoes. So here are my daughters Chuck Taylor All-Star High Cut Converse shoes. They were a very special birthday present as they had to be yellow – so were a customised purchase!

713 – Paint
Yesterday the Doodlewash May challenge prompt was “paint” – I opted for the obvious interpretation. I have a mixture of Windsor & Newton, Reeves and Daniel Smith paints. The box is an old Van Gogh set of half pans, which I am also gradually using up.

711 – Stars
Here is my drawing of today for the Doodlewash May challenge – the prompt today was “stars” and the only ones we have around the house are movie stars …so I thought of Star Wars of course! This DVD is of the best episode I think – The Empire Strikes Back.

708 – Chocolate
Here is my sketch from yesterday, following the Doodlewash May challenge prompt of chocolate. This bar, bought as part of a huge bag of chocolates you can buy at duty free when coming back into the Philippines, has melted and re-solidified several times I think.

707 – Flowers
This month I decided to follow the prompts in the Doodlewash May Art (smile makers) Challenge. The first prompt (actually for yesterday, May 1) is ‘flowers’ – my sketch is of the neighbours balcony where they have a few flowers growing, plus a paper one. Although our balcony is heaving with plants I realised we don’t grow any.
