I did this sketch last night – its a repeat (but not a copy as I drew it from life) of a sketch I did in September last year (No.67-2192). I am doing this one so I can include it in the #ArtInTheParkPH event this March (I am framing up 3 sketches to show with #UskManila). My sketch last year was done with another sketch on the back of it, so I can’t really use it.

Here is a pair of our older daughter’s Converse. Despite being a “must have” (and of course very expensive) during high school, they have been left at our place for years now and are rather sad and battered looking.

My daughter brought her old converse shoes back to the Philippines with her. They are almost 5 years old and a bit worn out – so my wife volunteered to take them to the shoe repair guy at the market near her office. This sketch was done before they were repaired. As usual (he’s repaired several of my pairs of shoes) he did a great job of restoring them.

The Doodlewash May challenge prompt today is shoes. So here are my daughters Chuck Taylor All-Star High Cut Converse shoes. They were a very special birthday present as they had to be yellow – so were a customised purchase!
