Here are the next two drawings I did in my little sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project PH with @1372DESIGNS / @_STUDIO1372. I had hoped that using this sketchbook would result in me doing more than one sketch a day…but so far that hasn’t happened!

Here is another sketch done on a visit to my mum. This terracotta cat sits on her little terrace – with its back covered in plants.

I had to rush this sketch a bit. Captain Haddock loves to sleep on this rather chewed old pizza box – so who needs a cat bed? Having old pizza boxes (plus cardboard boxes and bits of paper he has picked out of the bin to play with) laying around the house, doesn’t do that well for the ambiance though!

This painting was done after a fairly long gap between sketches – although the gap was filled with finishing off other partly done drawings. This is our cat sitting in his favourite spot in the evening. I have drawn him multiple times, but in this attempt I tried to keep the colours really simple and faded those in the background to make him stand out.

Drawing the same thing over and over again is therapeutic, which is appropriate because as I sketched this, I was watching the third season of “Shrinking”.

Here are two sketches of our cats, done with my new Platinum Preppy pen, using the cartridge of blue ink that came with the pen.

Here is a quick sketch of one of our cats (General Tapioca) in his usual evening spot.

This is our cat, Captain Haddock, not staying still as I sketched him. So I just included him twice.

With two cats our house is dredged in cat fluff. We bought this roller to try and get some of it off the couch. It’s also got a cute little paw as a handle!
