We bought this souvenir at the butterfly farm we visited in Marinduque earlier this year. We were told that they only mount butterflies that have died of natural causes…I really hope that is the case. This butterfly is native to the Philippines, was named after Nicholas Rumanzow, a Chancellor of the Russian Empire and is also called a the scarlet Mormon or red Mormon.
