This bottle held some homemade sloe gin (given by a friend)…it’s such a nice bottle I can’t bring myself to throw it out…and I am open to ideas about what I can use it for. I drew this before (when it still had booze in it) in October 2021 (see sketch No.1868).

When I drew this I had missed a few days of sketching and reminded myself that even the most mundane subject will do for a sketch – the important thing is to take some time off to focus on a bit of creativity. This battered aluminium flask used to belong to my daughter, but these days it lives in the side pocket of my bag. Always useful to stay hydrated but also so that I can fill my water brush!

This is just another bottle sketch done in the evening – I bought this bottle of vodka so that we can make bloody mary cocktails. I tend to use just tomato juice, vodka and Worcestershire sauce…but I know it is supposed to have, celery, tabasco, salt, pepper and lemon juice in it too.

Here is another evening sketch of something random around the house. I sketched the same bottle of Cointreau back in 2021 (see sketch No.1845)…the volume of booze in it has only gone down a little since then, which shows you how infrequently we drink this!
