This sketch was done last Thursday while chatting to my friend @TheArtofBeingPresent. I was inspired by the sketch artist @joanna_bonar_tatarska who does terrific but simple sketches of fruit and veg and had done a wonderful drawing of an avocado. I don’t think mine came out as well, but these avocado (bought on the way back from Cavite) tasted lovely, so who cares!

It was raining the other morning, so I sketched what was on the kitchen table – a crystal vase with roses in it, avocados in a bowl and cat coasters.

Here is my sketch from last night, done while watching a movie called I Remember You set in Iceland. This is a avocado stone which we are attempting to grow by suspending the bottom of it in water…no sign of any shoots yet!
