This plant (which I think is sometimes called an elephant ear plant for obvious reasons) was sitting on the terrace where we were staying in Anilao. Behind it the owner has places big sheets of driftwood…lots of fun to draw…and lots of ink!

Here is the second sketch I did on our long weekend at the coast. Below the place we were staying (you have to go down a lot – and I mean a lot – of narrow steps, to get to the sea) there was this boat and jet-ski pulled up onto the hard standing. I know nothing about boats but I do love sketching them. I spent quite a bit of my time as I sketched this, chatting to a guy selling decorated blankets…it’s always nice to get a bit of feedback.
