Here is the watercolour and ink sketch I did in transit in Dubai airport (on my way to Beirut). Its an elegant building but everything is grey…except that column which seemed to reflect lots of colour from somewhere.

Here is another ink sketch (using a UniPin pen) on route from Lebanon to the Philippines – this one was done at Dubai airport just as people were boarding the plane. There was no queue really – just a great crush to get on board, so I waited for the worst to be over.

Day 239 – Connecting flight in Dubai
Here is a sketch I did while waiting for my connection flight to Lebanon. The airport in Dubai is pretty spectacular and this sketch doesn’t really do it justice. Maybe on my way back I’ll do another one with a better viewpoint. This was done in ink, water-colour pencils and water-soluble graphite.
