Here is my third sketch done at the Taal Elpasubat 2023 with #UskQuezonCity. This was done in what Google maps calls Taal Park, looking up at the Minor Basilica of St. Martin of Tours, which we were told is the largest Catholic Church in the Philippines and in Asia. The title is the words that are carved into the plaque on the statue in the park – my sketch made her look a bit alien with broad shoulders and a long thin neck.

Here is a quick sketch I did at lunch while on the #UskQuezonCity Guhit Ng Pamana (draw the heritage) event at the Taal Elpasubat 2023 festival. Lunch was kindly laid on by the mayor at the Escuela Pia. This school building was built in 1885 for teaching underprivileged Taal youth.

Here is my first sketch done with #UskQuezonCity at the Taal Elpasubat 2023 festival (this celebrates the anniversary of the town). Taal is famous for its numerous ancestral houses, many of which are open to the public during this festival. #UskQc joined as an official part of the festival to “draw the heritage” (Guhit ng pamana).
