I have been a bit lax in posting recently, but here is the second sketch I did with #UskManila at the Andres Bonifacio National Monument earlier this week. I found a shady spot to do this one… sitting at the foot of the monument looking down one of the main roads. These Santa figures were set out around the roundabout … he’s waving I think, not making a rude gesture.

Today I joined #UskManila for a sketch-walk at the Andres Bonifacio National Monument…early in the morning, so we could sketch before it got to hot. I only made it there at 7am, not being very good at getting up! Bonifacio Day is a national holiday celebrating Andres Bonifacio who was the founder of Katipunan, a secret society that triggered the revolution against the Spanish in 1896. It’s usually on the 30th, but was moved to today to allow a long weekend.
